Vive la France

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend?  My kids had off from school all last week and kept me so busy chauffering them all over so I haven't had a chance to comment on everyone's blogs like I usually do. Hopefully we'll get back to normal this week.

Today I made a fun card using this adorable Victoria Case image from SCACD.  Her name is Lola (she was a showgirl -- lol ok now I'm dating myself).  My youngest daughter for the longest time called herself Lola and made us all call her that too. I had to pick up this image for the name alone haha!  I thought she'd be cute paired up with the new Make It Crafty Paris line they just released and hurried over to pick up this digi background. Did you know that you could buy Make It Crafty rubber stamps and chipboard embellishments right here in the USA from SCACD.  Yay!!

The Eiffel Tower was a freebie image that I got when I ordered the Cafe de Paris background from Make It Crafty.  I used the Fleur De Lis Accents Spellbinder dies on this card, my sentiment was computer generated, and I used copics to color this image.

I had so much fun making this card. Please let me know what you think! Have a great day and see you soon!

Little Darlings Challenges - Pearls... and..... some blog CANDY!

We have another challenge at Little Darlings Challenges this week.  We must include pearls on our card. Nice and simple right?  I LOVE this new Cutie Pie release SO much so I chose another image to color and showcase today which I haven't used yet.  This stamp is called Ballerinas.

This adorable image reminds me of when my daughters used to do ballet. I have so many of those sweet outfits from when they performed at their end of year show. In fact I just boxed up all of those outfits that I plan to save for them when they get older and want to share them with their daughters.

Anyways, for this card,  I tried for a shabby chic look. What do you think, is it shabby?  I used Magnolia papers and Doohickey dies on this card. Also used a Whimsy country heart die - I love the shape of this heart. I embellished with a couple flowers, wooden heart buttons, pink ribbon, and pink pearls. I used the stars that were punched out of the dies to embellish further.

I also finished off the inside of my card with Spellbinder dies and the ballet slippers I found when I googled "free coloring pages" and then colored and cut out. All my edges were distressed with Ranger Walnut Stain.

Now for some blog candy.  Angie has generously allowed me to offer up one of these cutie pies as blog candy for any followers of my blog and the Little Darlings Challenge blog.  Just leave a comment on this post to be entered in the draw.  I will announce the winner 2 weeks from today.  Here's what you can win:

Thanks for stopping by today.  Enjoy your week! My kids have this week off from school and have already planned out this week's activities.  So I am scrambling to carve out some coloring time for myself this week. :)

Magnolia-licious Color Challenge - Blue and Brown

Happy Valentines Day everyone!  It's time for another color challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog.  No pinks or reds today! Today our colors for this week are blue and brown.  Here's an example:

I had such a hard time limiting myself to 2 colors with this scene. But I think I did it even though there are hints of green/yellow and white. Here is the card I made:

I love this potting shed that I got from Magnolia-licious. I believe it's made by Alota Rubberstamps and thought it worked well with this Tilda. This is Tilda with Flower Pot from the Butterfly Dreams collection. HERE is a link to the mini image as the full size version doesn't seem to be in stock at the moment. I cut out extra flower pots from the potting shed image and cut out some extra flowers from the Tilda image to create my little flower pot scene.

I love these Prima papers I used today called Madeline. The colors and patterns are so pretty and I've horded them too long so I had to use them today. I used various flowers some from Magnolia and some from Little Darlings. My sentiment is by Whimsy - love love this Spring sentiments stamp called Spring Letter Seals. I got this set at Little Darlings Rubberstamps.

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

The Poodles Parlour - anything goes
Craft Us Crazy - anything goes
Paper Pretties - use flowers
Simon Says Stamp and Show - anything goes

Well that's it from me today! Thanks for spending some time with me on my blog and hope you will come back soon! Thanks for all your comments - I love to read them soooo much and your sweet comments mean the world to me. Have a great day and don't forget to play along with our challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog.

Tea Cup Gift Package

Hi everyone! Today I have a tea cup gift package that I made for one of my girl's teachers at school. I used a My Time Made Easy tea cup template.

I found this sweet Elisabeth Bell image at SCACD that I thought would work nicely with this gift package - she is called A Cuppa.  I picked up so many cute stamps from SCACD. I can't wait to find time to use them!

I filled my basket with Starbuck's hot chocolate and also tucked in a Starbuck's gift card. Isn't this a cool way to give a gift to a teacher? I had fun making this project!

Copic colors I used on this image are: E00, E000, R20, E57, E50, E35, E33, Y21, R85, R83, R81, RV10, B37, B34, B32, B000.

Well thanks for visiting and checking out my little project today. Y'all come back now!!

Happy Birthday Angie!!

Good morning everyone!  Today is the lovely Angie Hunt's birthday and a bunch of her Magnolia and Little Darling friends have all made a post or birthday card to wish her a Happy Birthday.  Here is the card I made using one of Little Darlings' new Cutie Pie stamps:

I've used papers by Annalee by Prima, Magnolia flower/heart swirl and fence doohickey die, MFT sun die, birthday sentiment is from Whimsy, and I used an MFT flower die cut to create my felt flowers.

Here is a closeup of this cutie pie:

Thanks for stopping by today! Please stop by Angie's blog to wish her a Happy Birthday as well. I'm sure she'd love to receive birthday greetings from everyone!

Happy Birthday, Angie. I hope you have a special day! Big Hugs!!
