Guest Designer at Sunday's With Crissy

Hi everyone! Today I'm super excited to be a guest designer at Sunday's With Crissy. I've been a fan of Crissy Armstrong for a long time and love her rubber stamps and digi images and when she asked me to be a guest designer I jumped at the chance.  So the theme this month for Sunday's With Crissy is to use non traditional Christmas colors and make a Christmas card.  So this is what I made:

I know that splash of red that I used is a traditional color but I used very little. My card is primarily blue and white and I added several pearls to the Spellbinder snowflake diecuts that I used.  My papers are SEI and the sentiment and image both came from Whimsy Stamps. You can find the Season's Greetings sentiment  HERE and Valerie's Gift rubberstamp HERE.

Copic colors I used here are: BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00, R24, R22, R20, E11, E00, E000. I also used some colored pencils for added shadow and highlight.

Thanks for visiting me today! See you soon!

Whimsy - Touched by Love

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!  Woot! Woot! the big day is almost here!  Christmas came way to fast for me!! I need another week. ;)

Well, isn't this just the loveliest image!? This digital image is from Whimsy designs and is created by Chrissy Armstrong and is called Touched by Love.  This image comes already colored (which I used in a previous post) or non - colored.  Today I chose to color this image with my copics and used prisma pencils for a little extra shading.  What do you think?  I'm still getting the hang of using the pencils and still need more practice I think. These papers can also be found at Whimsy and are absolutely gorgeous!

Here is a close up of this angel and baby Jesus:

This will be my last post with Whimsy although I do plan to continue working with their beautiful images when time permits.  This was a wonderful group to work  with and I will miss designing with them. Thank you Denise for the opportunity!

This is probably my last Christmas card of the year. I'm not sure if I will get a chance to post again before the new year but I'll take this opportunity to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you so much for coming to visit me!  Big hugs to you, xoxo!

Whimsy's Teddy's First Christmas

I'm back again with a colored Teddy's First Christmas image unlike my prior post where I used the adorable pre-colored image.  I got out my copics for this one,  I thought he'd look sweet as a white polar bear so I colored him using the C00s -greys. My wonderful sentiment is by Raindrop Echo Designs and can also be found in digital form from Whimsy.

Here's a closeup:
I used white flock on the bears hat and birds hat. I really love the blue and red color combination. So wintery and something just a little different for the holidays.  I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch for my card today.  My papers are by SEI and I also used the Spellbinder snowflake die.

I hope you like my card today! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!

December Whimsy Digi Blog Hop

** For my Birthday Blog Candy Winner, please scroll down to my YNS post **

It's time for the Whimsy Digi Blog Hop!  We have some super sweet images to show you so I hope you will take time to visit everyone on the hop as there will be an awesome prize for you lucky commentors!!

Because I had to travel last week for the Thanksgiving holiday, I was so pinched for time in meeting this deadline so what I did was use the new pre-colored digi images that Whimsy is now offering. What a life saver they were.  All I did was print them out on my favorite paper and cut them out with dies and made these fun treat bags and lollipop and candy cane treats.  I thought they would be fun for my kids to bring to school to give to their friends.  Just print about 20 of these pics out and there you go, nice and quick!

Aren't they cute? These lovely images were designed by Chrissy Armstrong. You can get the images already colored or the more traditional non-colored versions.  When I have a moment, I hope to color some up myself since I just love coloring with my copics.

I also made a card with this sweet angel and baby Jesus image. What a precious image!

I used a snowflake die that my good friend Chris sent to me for my birthday (thanks hunny)!! And I used the angel wings Magnolia die (so pretty).

Here is the DT hop lineup in case you get lost on the way):

(my back hurts just thinking about it). Well this week at Crazy 4 Challenges we need to create an *Autumn/Fall* card!!!
Here is the easel card that I created:

I had the front door background stamp that I got from Magnolia-licious and my adorable trick or treators are from Whimy Stamps.  These digital images were created by the very talented artist Chrissy Armstrong.  My sentiment is computer generated. Don't you just love that checkerboard border punch?  That is an EK Success punch - LOVE IT!

October Whimsy Digital Blog Hop

It's time for the October Whimsy Digital blog hop!  If you came from Danni's blog then you're in the right place.  Otherwise, please start at the beginning at the Whimsy Inspirations Blog.  You want to make sure to comment at every stop on the hop for your chance to win some awesome prizes. There will be 3 chances to win. So here is the stair-step card I created for the hop today:

I found this haunted house image on the net and used these adorable Meljen images as my trick or treators.  Do you think they'll stop to trick or treat at this house?  I certainly wouldn't - too spoooooky and I'm a big chicken! LOL!  That fun GONE HAUNTING sign is from Raindrop Echo Designs' Halloween sentiments release and can also be found at Whimsy Stamps.

My family and I love watching the Charlie Brown Halloween classic, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."  Don't these guys look just like some of the Peanut's gang?  Just need to add some extra  "eye holes" to one of the ghosts. ;)

These digital images and more have been released today.  So hurry on over and pick some out.  This blog hop will remain open from 12 noon EST  Friday 15th October and will close on Friday 22nd October  at 12 noon EST.

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

The Creative Cottage Challenge - Halloween
Papertake Weekly Challenge - 3 of something (I used 3 bats)
Crafty Cardmakers - fancy folds
Cupcake Craft Challenge - scary creatures
Lexi's Creations - spooky
I Did It - spooky
One Stitch At A Time - use your digi stamps
My Grafico - anything goes
Challenge up your Life - autumn (halloween reminds me of autumn)

Thanks for stopping buy today and for any comments you might leave. I enjoy reading them so much!  Your next stop on the hop is my friend Domi.
