Magnolia-licious Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!  It's time for the Magnolia-licious Highlites monthly blog hop.  Our theme this month is LOVE and we must create something other than a card.  So this month I made 2 different types of gift boxes that I plan to give to my daughters for Valentine's Day.

First up is this adorable cupcake giftbox:

I used WOC flowers in purples and pinks.  Also I used pearls to embellish around the flowers and cupcake bottom.  This lovely Magnolia image is from the 2013 Love Collection by Magnolia and she is called  "I Am In Love." She is currently available at Magnolia-licious along with the So Wrapped Lovely Folded Heart Tag Doohickey die.

Next up, I made a heart shaped paper gift box:

Again I embellished with more flowers from WOC and a ribbon flower and crystal picks that I picked up at Joanne Fabrics along with the ribbon pearls.  This Magnolia image is also from the 2013 Love Collection by Magnolia and is called "Tilda Blowing Hearts." You can pick her up at Magnolia-licious also along with these gorgeous new papers from this Love Collection and the Memory Box lowercase letters that spelled out love.

Have you heard of the Alex and Ani bracelets?  Well I bought each of my girls one for Valentine's Day.  They fit in the box nicely, don't they?  I hope they like them.

Please see below for the blog hop order.

That's it from me today.  I hope you enjoyed my projects and can let me know what you think.  Enjoy the rest of the hop.  Have a great day!

Crunching Tilda - chomp chomp chomp

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a yummy Thanksgiving.  We spent this holiday in Massachussettes with my husband's family (in fact, I think I'm still there, hehe).  On the way back home, our tradition is to drive through Deerfield and stop at the super big Yankee Candle factory store.  What a fun place, definitely worth a trip if you've never been. We have so much fun and I usually by my yearly supply of candles.

Well today, I have a card to show you using this adorable Crunching Tilda currently available at Magnolia-licious.  How could you not add her to your collection?

My papers are from Recollections - picked these papers up at Michael's Arts & Crafts just this past weekend along with 5 other pads.  I just can't get enough paper packs!  I also used a couple DooHickey dies on this project: Starlight Lace and So Wrapped Starlight Folded Tag.  I picked up that adorable heart die from Whimsy.

Well that's it from me today.  Have a great weekend everyone!  I bet most of your are putting up your trees by now. I can't wait to decorate for Christmas!!

Magnolia Christmas Tag

Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday to you!  Thought I'd post a little tag that I made today before starting my weekend errands.  I haven't made too many tags but they are so simple and adds such a  homespun touch to gifts.  I plan to make a whole bunch and add them to my gift giving presents this year.  And what a great way to use these sweet little bears from the Magnolia Little Christmas Collection.  This is Cocco with Present currently available at Magnolia-licious:

I used Jillibean Soup - Christmas Eve Chowder paper pack for this tag.  Also used a poinsettia and the Old Swedish Lace Magnolia Doohickey die and my sentiment is also by Magnolia.

I hope you liked my tag today!  By the way, Magnolia-licious has so many holiday images available especially the 2 new collections, Christmas Story and Nativity Collection.  The Magnolia-licious DTs has been busy coloring up these images so you can see them at the store all colored up.  They did a great job.  Check it out!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Winter Fun Magnolia-licious Style

Hi Everyone!  Whew what a week!  I'm happy to say the electricity is finally restored at my home after the hurricane. 3 days of no electricity is not fun.  Definitely adding a generator to my Christmas list this year. And I'm happy to report that I  have no fall leaves to rake as the winds blew them all away.  Our pool  has suffered the only damage due to the hurricane but it could have been so much worse and my girls are enjoying a week off from school.

Well today I am sharing my "interactive" or "something hidden" card that is our current challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlights this month.  I made a stair step card with a "slider" addition.  Here is my card:

I used several Magnolia images today to create my fun winter scene.  They are:  Tilda in the Mountains, Old Swedish Church, Snowy Tilda, Edwin on SledSki Edwin with SnowflakesWinter Forest (link to mini image), and Edwin Skiing (which doesn't appear to be in stock currently).

I used Ski Edwin with Snowflakes to slide across the front of my card, almost appearing like after he fell he slid a bit.

I cut a thin rectangle and attached a foam pop dot to the back of Edwin, placed it in the slit and underneath the paper and through the slit I attached the button to the back of the foam pop dot.  I guess you can say that is my "hidden" portion of the card as you can obviously see the slit I cut for the slide to work.

Here are a few more pics of my card at different angles.  I also used several dies on this card.  I used Spellbinder snowflake dies, Magnolia Doo Hickey poinsettia die, Memory box landscape die and snowflake border.

Well that's it from me today. I really enjoyed putting this card together using all these fun stamps. I'm loving this Christmas story collection of stamps!

This last photo is a pic of my pool after the storm we had Monday.  I'm just thankful all these trees that surround my yard didn't fall on our house! Thank you God! Take care and count your blessings, big hugs xx

I used the Heart Folded Doohickey die which is not currently in stock at Magnolia-licious but I'm sure they will be restocked soon.

Magnolia-licious Challenge - Think Spring

We have an inspiration challenge for you this week at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog. Here is our photo inspiration:

Think Spring!  I am so ready for Spring!  Here is my take on this challenge:

I had fun making this picture frame scene. I created my picture frame using Spellbinder Grand Rectangles.  All my stamps are by Magnolia.  I will link to the ones that you can find at Magnolia-liciousTilda with Heart Chain, Tilda with Hellebores, Tilda as a Star, Magnolia tree, Little Birds,  the House, Sun, and Fence (don't seem to be in stock right now at Magnolia-licious).  I also used the Magnolia Grass Doohickey die for my scene.

Here is a close up photo:

The pink cardstock is by Core'dinations and I also used the pretty pink checked  paper by Magnolia from the Sweet Rainbow collection. Love the quality and thickness to these Magnolia papers. The Spring letters were cut out with my Cricut.  My images were colored with copics as always and prisma colored pencils.

I will enter this project at the following challenges:

Colour Me Creative Copics Challenge - lots of bright colors
Dies to Die for Challenge - anything goes
The Crazy Challenge - anything goes
2 Sisters Challenge - anything goes
Allsorts - anything goes

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by and for any comment you may leave. I love reading them and thank you always for your kind comments. Have a great day!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

Hello stamping friends! Are you ready for the superbowl this weekend? My husband and kids are big fans of football, especially the Patriots who are playing this weekend.  So I made a fun card for them.

I used this adorable Cheerleader Tilda from Magnolia-licious. I actually colored her quite some time ago and when I pulled her out I was happy to see she was colored in Patriots colors.  I also used Magnolia's Doohickey die - Starlight Lace and used the stars that were punched out from this die to embellish my card.

I hope you like my card today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge - TOMIC 15

Our challenge today at TOMIC is coordinating with this month's issue of Magnolia Ink which has a chocolate theme.  So here is my creation for today:

I used that sweet cupcake template that Lillemor created and was in the Magnolia Ink chocolate issue. I love this little basket and it was so easy to make. Wouldn't it be cute for little party favors for your child's birthday?

This adorable Tilda is Oops Tilda from the "A Little Yummy For Your Tummy Collection."   I also used the butterfly and swirl doohickey dies from Magnolia to accent this project and my papers are digital papers from Nitwits. That fun pink fringe that I used to mimick frosting is from Love To Stamp - love that stuff!

I will enter this project at the following challenges:

Whimsy's Circle of Friends - Card for Annika

Whimsy is hosting a blog hop for one of their teammies (Annika) who recently lost her mother.  I wanted to join in to help support my friend and fellow Make It Colourful DT sister and make a card to link to the Whimsy blog also.  So I made this card:

This is Tilda with Hanging Heart from Magnolia-licious and her "gown" is made with my Spellbinder scalloped heart die - I cut out several hearts for her petticoat. I tried to give Tilda's gown a little dimension by raising the middle of the gown with pop dots.  I also used my angel wing doohickey die from Magnolia-licious and gave Tilda larger wings. My sentiment is computer generated and cut out with another Spellbinder die.  Do you like the heart chipboard embellishment that I added to my card? I got it from Zoe at Make It Crafty - really love using these chipboard pieces and she has created so many other new chipboard designs. You have to check them out!

Here is a closeup of my sweet angel:

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

KB Challenges - use hearts on our card
Magical Monday Challenges - flowers
The Pink Elephant - red, brown, pink
Let's Ink It Up  - anything goes
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - glitter (I used glitter on Tilda's wings)
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - "whateva"

Well, that's it for today. I'm off to shovel some more snow.. boo!
