SCACD Blog Hop

Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to be asked to be part of the SCACD blog  hop this month showcasing some really fun new images that they are releasing.  The stamps are from the Susana Loves Stamps presents the Eye of Beauty Collection. This is Angel Eyes. Isn't she gorgeous? I love her eyes!

I've colored this image with copics and prisma colored pencils. I used spellbinder dies on this card and embellished with flowers and pearls and used some stickles on my angel's wings.  Also, I've used a MIC chipboard butterfly embellishment. The papers I'm using today are by Glitz Papers and called Pretty in Pink. SCACD has so many stunning new paper pads, you have to check them out.   I also ordered from them this new glue that I've started using and absolutely LOVE called ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever. If you're looking for a glue that works great with paper and embellishments, this is the one you want to give a  try!

Little Darlings Challenge 20 - Outside

It's time for another challenge at the Little Darlings Challenge Blog.  Our theme is "outside."  So here is a card I made using 2 cuties from the newest release.

I used Buddies and Pinwheel Fun. I used Whimsy's Spring Letter Seals on this card and also used a Magnolia background image called Butterfly Background. My images are colored with copics and the papers I used today are by Jillibean Soup - Blossom Soup paper pack.

Magnolia-licious Challenge

We have a photo inspiration challenge for you at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog today.  Here is the photo:

Yum!! What  a pretty cake! I saw this cute basket on splitcoaststampers and decided to try to make one myself.

I used 2 sweet Magnolia images for this project. They are: Tilda Holding Egg Basket and Mini Tilda With Straw Hat. These mini images are the perfect size to use with the folded Doohickey tag dies. I used the Heart Folded Doohickey die which is not currently in stock at Magnolia-licious but I'm sure they will be restocked soon.

Give Peace a Chance - SCACD

Hi Everyone! Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted. I haven't been feeling too well this past week and had some blood work done to see what's up. Hopefully everything is ok and these dizzy spells stop.  Anyways, today I had a productive day and was able to make some things to post this week.  Today, I wanted to color up this adorable image that I got from SCACD.  This is Give Peace a Chance.  Isn't she groovy?

I colored her with copics and pencils. The papers I used are by Jillibean soup and called Dutch Mustard Soup.  I also used a Magnolia rainbow stamp that I thought worked well with this image.

Little Darlings Challenge #19 - Colors of Spring New Release Blog Hop

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Little Darlings Rubber Stamps Blog hop for March.  Angie has released some really sweet Spring images this month and today I have 2 cards to show you using 2 of these new images. This collection is called "Spring is in the Air." This blog hop also coincides with today's Little Darlings challenge which is to use the colors of spring on our card.

Here is my first card using "Just Hangin Out:"

My next card is using this sweetie called "Isn't She Lovely:"

She is lovely indeed! I imagine she's on her way to Easter Mass wearing her pretty dress and bonnet. I used papers by Colorbok for this card that I picked up at Michaels Arts & Crafts. Also used the Magnolia Doohickey Fence die that I got from Magnolia-licious.

Magnolia-licious Challenge - Pick 3 colors of the rainbow

Time for another color challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog.  I've challenged the team to pick any 3 colors of the rainbow:

Here is my creation today using yellow, purple and blue primarily:

 I saw this really  cute votive candle holder template on Stempeleinmaleins and wanted to try to make one.  I thought it would be fun as a little present or decoration for a baby room.  Instead of a real candle, I've used one of those little battery operated votive candles.  These come in handy and I bought a bunch of them. Love this template, I think I'll make one for my daughter's room too.

I've used Sleeping Baby Tingla from the Cozy Family Autumn Collection and Sweet Moon from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection. Unfortunately, these images aren't currently available at Magnolia-licious, but if you email Diana, I'm sure she would order it for you at a good price. These lovely papers are by Magnolia also and from the Sweet Rainbow Collection.

Other supplies used: Spellinder stars die, stickes, walnut distress ink, heart crystal hanging from the moon and a button and brad from my stash, and I used copics to color my images:  E21, E00, E000, R20, E55, E53, E51, Y000, B91, B000, B0000.

Little Darlings Rubber Stamps Blog Hop on March 14

Hi Everyone! Wow I can't believe the beautiful spring weather we are having here in Connecticut today. Soon I'll be able to plant some flowers and vegetables  in the garden. Can't wait!!  Can you tell I have spring fever today?

Tilda Bookmark

Oh I just love this Stamping Tilda and couldn't wait to make something with her. So I made one of these fast and easy little bookmarks that I always see around blogland. 

I got these pretty papers from Little Darlings Rubberstamps and they are by Lilybee Designs called Picket Fence - so fresh and springy, love these colors. This particular pad isn't currently available but you have to check out the other gorgeous 6x6 pads which are all on sale for $3.00 - unbelievable price!

I colored Tilda with my favorite copics and prisma pencil combination. Here is my bookmark in action, this is the 2011 Easter edition:

TOMIC - Bottle Decoration

Oooo I really struggled with this next challenge at TOMIC. We were challenged to make a bottle decoration.  I just couldn't think which Magnolia would be appropriate for this task so I made a tag and used this adorable Tilda from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection, this is Tilda with Peony Tails.

We also have to add at least 2 butterflies to our creation for this challenge. I added 3 butterflies punched out with my Martha Stewart paper punch.  I used 2 spellbinder dies combined to create this tag. Then I embossed the top part of the tag with a Craft Concepts  Diamond Shadows embossing folder that I picked up at SCACD .  Also used Kraft paper cardstock and my yummy designer paper is called Kissing Booth from  Basic Grey and I picked up this paper pack from Little Darlings Rubberstamps store.  I added some WOC flowers, ribbon and lace trim that I got at Joanne Fabrics, and sweet heart die cut from Whimsy.

Daphne's Tea Party - SCACD

Happy Sunday! Today I wanted to show you a card I made with  this gorgeous Sylvia Zet image that I got from SCACD.  This stamp is called Daphne's Tea Party.

Here's a closeup. Isn't she gorgeous!

I used my new favorite paper pad called A Walk in the Garden by Best Creations that I picked up at SCACD. I used punches for my border and flowers. My image was colored with a combination of copic markers and prisma pencils.
