Paper Romance Challenge #6

It's time for another challenge over at Paper Romance Challenge blog. This week, Andrea has challenged us to use glitter on our card/project. Here is what I came up with:



I used this adorable image called Yippee Fhiona. She is so cute and versatile! I chose to make a birthday easel card and used my Cricut to cut out the cupcake shape (Home Decor Cartridge). I used Stickles glitter glue and added the glitter to the cupcake and cherry.

Recipe:
Bazzil cardstock, Basic Grey dp, copics, spellbinder die, stickles, flowers from Wild Orchids, ribbon from Michaels, and cuttlebug corner die

Paper Romance - Froggy Gift

Hello there again! Today I have a card that I made for Paper Romance using this stamp called Froggy Gift by High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I made an envelope card using the Cricut and cut a template off the Wild Card cartridge.



Isn't he cute? He reminds me of my brother when we were kids exploring in the back yard. He was always wearing jeans and a baseball cap (as most boys do) and he was always bringing home turtles, frogs, and garden snakes (eeww) not to mention all the bugs in the neighborhood.

Inky Impressions New Release Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday to you! Inky Impressions is having a new release blog hop. Woohoo! My papers are from DCWV, the sun charm is from Inky Impressions, I used a scenery stamp and pine tree that I colored to match my image, and the sand and seashells are from my stash. I used my Cricut to cut out the waves and the pine tree using the Everyday Paper Dolls Cart.

Easter Bunny Ornament and Treat Cone

Today I want to show you 2 projects I made using this cute High Hopes bunny that I got from Paper Romance. My first project is an Easter egg ornament.



I colored the bunny in with copics. With the help of my Cricut, I cut out an egg (using the Doodlecharms cartridge). The ornament is embellished with flowers from Wild Orchids, basket and heart buttons, ribbon, heart charm, and Inky Dinky drops. I also used Norma's tutorial to make the border around the egg.

The second project I made is a treat cone that I filled with chocolate eggs. It can be given to a friend/classmate or teacher for a small Easter gift. I first saw this cone on Splitcoaststampers (tutorial can be found here) and wanted to give it a try. So here's my version.



I embellished the cone with pearls, a flower button, and ribbon. I used Stampin Up papers for this project and my spellbinder die and Martha Stewart punch.

Inky Impressions Challenge - A Charming Inky

The challenge today over at the Inky Impressions challenge blog is to add a charm (or charms) to your card/project - here is my card:



To cut the heart shape, I used the Cricut - Wild Card cartridge. Then ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swirls embossing folder. I then sanded over the top of the swirls so they would show up better. The image I used is called Lili's Secret and can be found over at the Inky Impressions store. Isn't she the cutest?! The sentiment I used is computer generated.



I have been getting alot of comments about posting the colors I use for my images so here is a picture of the copics I used today.

Inky Impressions Sketch Challenge

Hello fellow stampers! Hope you are doing well this fine day!? Today at the Inky Impressions Challenge blog we have a wonderful sketch challenge to follow created by my fellow DT member, the very talented Domi.

I used this cute image from Inky Impressions. She is called Ice Skating Rachel. She's perfect to use for winter cards, don't you think? I had fun coloring her.

I colored my image with copics and surrounded the image with a flowersoft globe. The snowflake and scrolls were cut out with my cricut machine. I used SEI papers, MS punch, and the ribbon, pearls, and charm are from my "stash." Hope you like it!? Thanks for looking. Hugs!

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Hello and thanks for visiting me today. I hope you had a wonderful holiday? Mine was great and over in a blink of an eye, wasn't it? Unfortunately, I had a stomach bug the day after Christmas but am much better now and ready to get back to making cards. Well, today I wanted to participate in the Friday Sketchers Challenge.

Hope you're not tired of Christmas cards yet but I had this one on my mind for awhile and wanted to make this card. I turned the sketch a bit and used this adorable image from Inky Impressions called Lili's Slumber Party. I used my Cricut to cut out the window, tree, moon, and santa w/reindeer.

December Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge

Today I wanted to play along with the Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge. The challenge for December is to make a shape card that is not a rectangle or square. So I made more snowglobe cards - 2 for this challenge.

My first card also qualifies for the music theme at the Saturday Spotlight Challenge so I am entering it there too! Here is my Caroler Tilda:

I cut the lamp post with my Cricut and used the pine trees and cat from Magnolia.

This is my 2nd card, Angel Tilda:

I put a cotton ball on the bottom of the Angel to make it look like she was standing on a cloud.

I used my Cricut to cut out the circle shapes of the globe and the sentiment inside the cards. These stamps are from this year's Magnolia Christmas collection and they are so much fun to work with and so versatile. Hope you like what you see...? Thanks for visiting!

Inky Impression Challenge

The challenge this week at the Inky Impressions challenge blog is to use snowflakes on your project. The other day, I was watching the Martha Stewart show and she had pop-up book author David Carter on the show. They showed how to make a pop-up book with a Christmas tree. I dropped everything and had to give this one a try. You can find the template and directions for the tree here and this is the card I made:

This is a side view of my pop-up tree. Can you see the light coming from the tree? I put a battery operated tea light at the base where there is a hole and the tea light fit perfectly.



This is a picture of the front of my card. I cut the tree with my cricut also, same cartridge. A bit simple, but I spent all my time on the inside of the card.

My Magnolia Church

What a wonderful Monday I've had today! My girls woke me up with birthday hugs and kisses and lots of handmade cards and handmade stories and pictures for me. Nothing beats a handmade present from the heart! Who needs diamonds!? Not me! :o) We celebrated at my favorite "fast food" place Panera Bread for dinner, YUM-O! Thank you to my hubby and daughters for making my day special.

Well, today I wanted to share with you my Magnolia church that I made. I used my Cricut and Winter Wonderland cartridge again for this project. I used 2 Magnolia images for either side of my church and they can both be found here at my favorite Magnolia store. I have lots of pictures to show you.

I used K & Co. and SU papers, prima flowers, stickles, pearls, ranger inks, and copics to color my images. I'm not sure if I will make this a table top decoration or another ornament for my tree.
