Make It Colourful - Coloring with yellow and purple

Happy Saturday to you all!  It's almost June and SUMMER! Can't wait for the hot weather and spending some time with the kids outside in the pool and at the beach. We had ourselves a long and snowy winter here in CT this year.

Well, today at Make It Colourful our challenge is to color something yellow and purple.  So here is the card I prepared today:

I created this fun little scene using the Wonky House on Hill from Make It Crafty and also using several Magnolia images ie; Tilda With Bike, Tree, Little Birds, and Sun.  All my Magnolia images came from Magnolia-licious and they just happen to be our sponsor this month at Make It Colourful.

Thanks so much for your visit and for always leaving me such sweet and positive comments on my cards. They mean the world to me! Have a great weekend.

Good morning! We have a photo inspiration for you this week at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog. Here is the photo:

I struggled a bit to figure out what to make for this one, but I chose to go with the purple and yellow color scheme and made this card:

I have to say, I really love this combination of colors and I'm so glad I got to use this gorgeous Tilda. She has to be my favorite of this collection and the wheelbarrow goes perfectly with this image. You can find these stamps  and the sentiment stamp at Magnolia-licious where I do all my Magnolia shopping! ;)

LOOK! I finished off the inside too!

Make It Colourful Challenge - Coloring Water

Isn't she a cutie!? This is Sandy at the Beach and she's from Make It Crafty.  All the images I used today on my card are the newly released Make It Crafty digi images. I prepared this card for the Make It Colourful Challenge where we were challenged to color water.

I combined the following digi images all from Make It Crafty:

Sandcastle
Sandy at the Beach
The Beach

This is such a fun release, perfect for summer cards. I had fun making this scene.  I used the grand scallop die from Spellbinders to make the shape of this card. Papers are from Stampin Up and I used Distress Inks and Diamond Stickles to the edges of the cutouts. My sentiment is computer generated.  The ribbon is from my stash as well as the pearls.

Our sponsor at Make It Colourful this week is Quixotic Paperie where you can find Make It Crafty's rubberstamps along with so many other products.  I need to go shopping!!

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

Creative Card Crew - cute and girly
Stampavia and more - summer
Truly Scrumptious - anything goes

I hope you liked my project today and can leave me a comment. I love to read them! Have a great weekend.

Love To Stamp Blog Hop

Today is finally the day of the Love To Stamp blog hop.  I hope you've enjoyed the sneak peeks that the DT has shown you so far.  The store is now officially open so I hope you will stop by and check out all the fun products.

There is blog candy being offered if you follow and comment along the hop. Also there is a Contest that will run till June 8.  Lots of exciting happenings going on at Love To Stamp!  Don't miss out!! The hop starts at the Little Darlings challenge blog. If you've come to me via Ruby's blog, then you're in the right place.

Here is the card I prepared for today:

I made this card to go along with a planter my girls and I made.  I used Love To Stamp's "So Big" image. Isn't he a cutie? I combined him with Alotta Rubberstamps Potting Shed and Magnolia's Sun and Little Birds - all these images can be found at Magnolia-licious.

I love these bright and sunny papers that I used on my card today.  They are the Dutch Mustard Soup mini paper pad from Jillibean Soup and can be found at Love To Stamp. I have to get more of this pack for sure!

Here is a close up of "So Big" image:

For this past Mother's Day, my girls and I made this for Nonni.  I had this unfinished wooden planter that the girls and I drilled holes in the bottom for drainage and stained, then planted some Gerber daisies inside. I know some of the flowers don't look so good, but the buds have bloomed and it looks really nice now on my Mom's windowsill.  That fun floral ribbon called Bloomers is from Webster's Pages and can be found at Love To Stamp.

Last week while Blogger was down for a couple days, I had time to create one more cute little project using this So Big image. I made a little paper watering can using a pattern that I found at Splitcoast Stampers.

These pretty papers are from DCWV Watercolor Bouquet paper pack. Pearls, buttons, butterfly, and ribbon are all from my stash.

Well, thanks for visiting today! Your next stop on the hop is Guest Designer Suzanne Dean. I can't wait to see what she has to show us. Take care and have a great day!

Magnolia-licious Color Challenge #13

Our challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog (brought to you by Norma) is to use the colors black and white and 1 other color on your card/project. I decided to go with an "off the page" project today.

I made a wedding cake inspired by the "royal wedding" using this couple that I got from Magnolia-licious.  Unfortunately, I slept through the entire royal wedding on TV but thank goodness for all the news coverage as I got caught up real fast. I can remember all those years ago when I was a child waking up early just to watch the prince's parents get married - I can't believe I slept through this one LOL!

Well, this particular wedding couple doesn't seem to be available at the moment at Magnolia-licious but there are so many adorable wedding images there that you have to check out.  The boxes and pink tissue paper fringe/garland I used are from Angie's new store Love To Stamp and they are by Melissa Francis. Wouldn't this "cake" make a lovely wedding or shower favor? I covered the boxes with embossed white DCWV papers (which is hard to see in this photo). I also used some lace, pearls, pearl string, and feather boa that I had in my stash.  Flowers are from WOC.

Copics used today are:  E11, E00, E000, R20, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00, E35, E33, E31, Y000, R85, RV10, G21, G20

I will enter this project at the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges - use lots of flowers
ECP Challenges - inspired by the royal wedding
Just Magnolia - anything goes

Magnolia Mini Card Fronts

Good morning friends! I have a few card fronts to show you that I made using some Magnolia mini images. These card fronts will be sent to Diana at Magnolia-licious to display at the next CHA.

For this card front, I used Tilda with an armful of tulips mini image and also Trees in a row full size image. My image is colored with copics and the butterfly paper is also by Magnolia. For the sky, I followed Annika's brilliant tutorial. Not bad for a first try, I think,

This photo is to show you the dimension. I cut the trees out and popped them up with pop dots. Also the diecut grass is popped up a bit.

In this card front, I used mini Tilda with big ribbon and the full size Windmill image from Magnolia-licious. All are colored with copics. This gorgeous Webster's Pages paper can be found at Love To Stamp.

This picture is to show that I cut the "fan" part of the windmill out and popped them up with pop dots.

In this photo, I used mini Jam Tilda and coupled her with this cute Alota Rubberstamps house (which doesn't seem to be available at Magnolia-licious right now).

Well, that's it for now. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! :)
