Paper Romance Challenge #8

Good morning! Today we have a color challenge for you over at Paper Romance Challenges. The colors to use this week are chocolate, teal, and white. Here is the project that I prepared for today:

I must admit teal was a hard color for me to find in my paper stash so I used various blues hoping that one of them qualify as teal.. ;) So, today I made a gift set that I thought my youngest daughter could give as a gift to her little friend (who happens to love kitties). I used 2 Meljen images for this project that I picked up here. This cutie is called A Girl and Her Kitty and the image I used on my gift bag is called Free Kittens. So cute, aren't they?

Here are a few more views:

I will enter this card/gift bag at the following challenges:

It's Saturday again! Isn't the summer just flying by!? It has been so HOT here in my neck of the woods. We've spent the week mostly in the pool and yesterday we went to the beach to cool off in the Sound. Later on today we plan to take the kids to Lake Compounce although rain is forecasted, I just hope it alleviates some of this humidity!

Anyways, today I have my DT card prepared for Crazy 4 Challenges. Our challenge this week is a color challenge. The colors to use on your card/project are BLACK, WHITE, AND RED. Here is my card:

I made a free standing pop-up card - instructions can be found here if you'd like to try making one. I used this lovely Bildmalarna image called Wedding Couple that I got from Paper Romance. Don't you just love this image?! I'd love to hear what you think?

It's time for another challenge over at Paper Romance Challenge blog. This week, Andrea has challenged us to use glitter on our card/project. Here is what I came up with:

Recipe:
Bazzil cardstock, Basic Grey dp, copics, spellbinder die, stickles, flowers from Wild Orchids, ribbon from Michaels, and cuttlebug corner die

I hope you can play along with us this week. If you do, you could be the winner of a 5.00 Gift Certificate to Paper Romance! Please link your card at the challenge blog and if you're loading onto an online Gallery, use the keyword prc6.

Some Exciting News - C4C

Good Morning! I am so happy to be back from vacation. My family and I had a great time in Disney World. Lots of beautiful sunny (and very HOT) days! This year we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge resort which was very nice! Great atmosphere and restaurant. We loved watching the boat parade outside our room every night and we were lucky to see fireworks at the Magic Kingdom almost every night too (sometimes from our hotel room). They do an amazing fireworks show! **Reminder to myself for next time - bring sneakers, my feet were killing me from wearing the wrong shoes ;). Well, I am glad to get back to my regular routine although I miss the "magic" of being in Disney. Now, I have alot to catch up on!

I have some exciting news to share this morning, I have been asked to join the Crazy 4 Challenges DT. I'm thrilled to be able to work with this fun and talented group of ladies! So, for our challenge this week we were asked to use lots of ribbon on our card (at least 2). So here is what I came up with:

I made a stair step card using all these Magnolia images that I picked up at Magnolia-licious. What do you you think?

Recipe:

Stamps by Magnolia and Alota Rubberstamps, copic markers, papers by Basic Grey, ribbon and daisy buttons from Michaels, Cricut to cut out letters, and MS border punch.

Our sponsor this week is My Favorite Things. Please visit their site here to see their fabulous clear stamps.
