Little Darlings Sneak Peek

Hiya friends! Hope you all had a terrific weekend. Did you get any Christmas shopping done - ugh I have so much to do and sooo little time. But it's my favorite time of year and I love to decorate for Christmas. I did a bit this weekend but still have more to go.  Anyways, today Little Darlings has the cutest stamps for Christmas/Winter for release.  Here are 2 cards that I made using these adorable images:

This first image is my absolute favorite and is called  Snowy Friends! The papers I used are called Wonderful Winter from My Mind's Eye.

This next cutie is called Catching Snowflakes.  She reminds me so much of my daughter Christina whom you can always find outside during a snowfall with her mouth wide open catching snowflakes too. ;)  The papers I used for this card are by SEI and is called Winter Song.

Well, that's it for today. Thanks so much for visiting. And thank you for any comments you may leave they are always very much appreciated. Have a great day!

Make It Crafty - Coloring white

Good morning everyone! Todays challenge at MIC is to color something white.  I created this card for today's challenge:

I love these MIC background scenes. They go so well with the Magnolia images (especially with my favorite Santa image). This winter scene is called Little Village Scene and can be found HERE and so can those fun chipboard snowflakes.

So I used a few different combinations of copic colors to color various white items on this card.  For my Santa, I chose to use the W's (more specifically they are W3, W1, W00) to color Santa's beard, socks, and fur trim.  For the picket fence I chose the C's (more specifically they are C5, C3, C1, C00). For the snow I again used the C's but also used B000 to change it up. I like this combination best.

Sadly, this will be my last post for MIC. I've decided to step down from the design team due to time constraints and being so busy in my life right now. I've thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this amazing team. My coloring has improved SO much since joining them and I learned so much from Zoe and my other fellow DT mates. Thanks Zoe!! I'll miss you gals!! :'(

Well, that's it for today. I'm off to Christmas shop! Have a great weekend!

Little Darlings Challenge - Thank you card

Hello friends!  It's been quite some time since I last posted. Unfortunately we had an unexpected death in the family and had to leave town for several days. But I am back now and eager for things to get back to normal in my life.

So today I would like to share this card that I made for our new challenge at Little Darlings.  The challenge is to make a thank you card.  So I made this Christmas thank you card using this lovely image called "Every Stocking Counts."

I hope you'll join in and play along with us this week at Little Darlings. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! Take care.

CMC Copics Challenge Guest Designer

Good morning! Today I'm thrilled to be a guest designer at the CMC Copics Challenge Group. Their sponsor this week is Michele Perkett and their challenge is "colors of the sea and sparkle."  They sent me this lovely mermaid image, her name is Harmony.

I embellished this card using ribbon from Joanne Fabrics and these fabulous chipboard pieces from Make It Crafty to look like seaweed. The dragon flies are also chipboard found at Make It Crafty. I colored the chipboard with my copics to make them pop a little. I also used Robin's Nest drops for bubbles on the seaweed. I added a bit of "sparkle" on the flowers and water with diamond stickles.

I hope you like my card today and can let me know what you think. Thanks so much for visiting!

Little Darlings Challenges - Silver Bells

Our challenge this week at Little Darlings is "silver bells." You can interpret this anyway you wish. I chose to add silver bells on my card.

I used my spellbinder grand die to cut out the shape of this card. I was inspired to try these shaped cards by Angie who made this beautiful card here using a different die.

My image is called Decorating the Tree and can be found at Love To Stamp. I colored this gorgeous image with my copics and added extra highlighting and shading with my prisma pencils.

I hope you can play along with us this week at Little Darlings! You don't have to use a Little Darlings image but if you do, you could win a $20.00 Love to Stamp merchandise gift voucher. If you use any other stamp, you could win a $10.00 merchandise gift voucher.

Hope you can come play with us! Have a great day!

Guest Designer at Sunday's With Crissy

Hi everyone! Today I'm super excited to be a guest designer at Sunday's With Crissy. I've been a fan of Crissy Armstrong for a long time and love her rubber stamps and digi images and when she asked me to be a guest designer I jumped at the chance.  So the theme this month for Sunday's With Crissy is to use non traditional Christmas colors and make a Christmas card.  So this is what I made:

I know that splash of red that I used is a traditional color but I used very little. My card is primarily blue and white and I added several pearls to the Spellbinder snowflake diecuts that I used.  My papers are SEI and the sentiment and image both came from Whimsy Stamps. You can find the Season's Greetings sentiment  HERE and Valerie's Gift rubberstamp HERE.

Copic colors I used here are: BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00, R24, R22, R20, E11, E00, E000. I also used some colored pencils for added shadow and highlight.

Thanks for visiting me today! See you soon!

Magnolia-licious Challenge - blue and silver

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend?  I am really suffering today with back pain, I spent my weekend raking piles and piles of leaves. So me with my heating pad thoroughly enjoyed that xtra hour of sleep due to the time change on Sunday LOL!

Well, it's time for another challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog.  Our color challenge this week is blue and silver.  I made an ornament for todays challenge:

I think I'll make a bunch of these with my kids this month to hang on our tree. My girls love coloring in the Magnolia images and they are perfect for making Christmas ornaments, don't you think? This new Sweet Christmas Dreams release is so cute and I can't wait to color every one! This image is called Tilda with Snow Heart and she can be found at Magnolia-licious.

I found the little crystal snowflakes in the beads section at Michaels and the snowflake buttons are from Joanne Fabrics.  I used spellbinder dies, diamond stickles, silver wire ribbon from Michaels, and my image is colored with copics of course.

Thanks for visiting today! Have a great day!

Magnolia Noah's Ark & Kenny K/MIC Stair Step Card

Hi there everyone!  I just wanted to share with you a couple cards I made in the past that were published.  My first card was in a past issue of Magnolia Ink magazine.  I worked pretty hard on it and wanted to share it with you here. I used several Magnolia animal images and a Make It Crafty background.

Next up is another stair step card I made for the Whimsy Stamps Online Magazine that was published a little while ago using Kenny K and Make It Crafty images.

I loved making these scenes and I hope you enjoyed looking at them and would love to hear what you think. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
