Little Darlings - Cold

Hi Everyone, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  I've been spending some time with my family while we have the week off from school and work and it's been so nice and relaxing. The kids love their gifts from Santa and we've been playing games in our pajamas and dancing to "Just Dance and Zumba" on the Wii.  Yikes! LOL!

I'm afraid I'm late today in posting my challenge card for the Little Darlings Challenge.  But here it is now. Our challenge this week is COLD.  I made a shadow box card using 2 of the LD winter stamps.

I used "Catching Snowflakes" and "Snowy Friends." Adorable images, aren't they?

Christmas Eve in Edwin's Town

Christmas is just around the corner and there is so much excitement in my house for the big day.  Children make the holiday so much happier, I can't even remember what it was like before they came along. I only have 1 more present left to wrap and 1 cake to bake and I am all set and ready for Sunday. I hope you are taking time to enjoy the season and not too stressed getting ready for it.  I think sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to shop and prepare and stressing ourselves out instead of just enjoying this happy time of year and being thankful for all the blessings we have in our lives.

Anyways, I'd like to share with you a side-step card I made using Edwin's Town, Tilda with Lantern, and Edwin on Christmas Eve. All these images can be found at Magnolia-licious (or special ordered from Magnolia-licious).

I also used the fence Doohickey die and the Memory Box Frosty Border die both can be found at Magnolia-licious. My image was colored with copics and I also used colored pencils for shading and highlighting.  I used some gold pearls to embellish the snowflakes and around my Edwin image.

Little Darlings - 'Tis the Season

This week at Little Darlings Challenges, our challenge is to make a Christmas card. Is everyone sick of making Christmas cards yet? Not me, no holiday inspires me more than Christmas and today I have this Christmas card to show you using this sweetie from Little Darlings Stamps called Ice Dancer.

I used a few fun MIC digi images for my background that I thought worked really well with this image and they are: Ice Skating Lake, Cold by Light (I cut out the lightpost from this image group), and the Large Pine Tree digi stamps. I cut out and separated most of the images and used some gorgeous Memory Box dies. It might be a bit hard to see the row of houses and pine trees behind my Ice Dancer image.   Here is a close-up photo:

I used cherry ice colored stickles on her dress but unfortunately doesn't look so sparkly in this photo. :(  I colored my image with copics and enhanced the shading and highlighting with prisma pencils.

My Christmas Living Room

Hi everyone! I'm excited to show you my project for the "lots of stars" challenge over at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog. I had fun making this tabletop decoration. I think I'll make one for other holidays too.  I used a round box lid for the base of my project and created my scene inside.

I made the Christmas tree by cutting out graduating sized stars with my Cricut Expression.  Then I used my scorpal to score the stars so the points would bend down a bit to look more like branches.  Then I poked a hole through the middle of all the stars with a skewer biggest to smallest star to create my tree.  See photos below:

I also used a small spellbinder die to cut out a bunch of gold stars for the tree ornaments and also used some WOC flowers, string of beads, candy cane and star charm ornament from Michael's.

TOMIC - Challenge 27

Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend!? Christmas is in the air and today at TOMIC our challenge is to make a shaker card.  So I made a card in the shape of a snowglobe. 

The top part is the shaker part of my card.   I wanted to create a nighttime scene so I could use my Santa and Reindeer sillouette against the moon. Can you see it? I used the polar white flowersoft as my snow so when you shake my card it looks like snow falling.
