Magnolia-licious Challenge #12

Today at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog, we have a photo inspiration for you brought to you by my very talented teamie, Pat. Here is the photo:

Aren't these adorable children!?  So it looks like it's all about carnivals or fairs. Or maybe the colors red and purple. Or horses and carousels.. You can interpret this photo anyway you wish.  So I went with the carousel theme on this one and created this card:

I actually colored these images months ago but never got around to using them. I'm so glad to get the chance to use them for this challenge as it fits the theme perfectly.  I used the Carousel Horse and Circus Tilda that I picked up from Magnolia-licious. I made a shadow box card using a template that I got from Splitcoaststampers.

Details:

Ink: Memento Ink, Distress Inks, Copics, Prismacolor pencils
Papers: Magnolia and Coordinations
Embellishments: WOC flowers and metal corners, misc. pearl swirls
Images: Magnolia

That's it for now.  See you next time!

Mo's & Zo's Carnival Blog Hop - Make It Colourful

Welcome to Mo 's and Zo's Carnival Blog Hop.  If you've come from  Barbara's  blog then you're in the right place otherwise start at the beginning here at Jak's blog.

Today Make It Crafty and Mo's Digital pencil have teamed up and are showcasing some Carnival digital images.

Along the way you will find balloons with a letter in them. Write down the letters as you go because at the very end we want you to guess what the saying is! My letter is the letter T.

There will be THREE grand prizes randomly drawn from the correct answers PLUS there will be hidden prizes along the way so make sure you leave some love as you hop along!

Now we know this is a super big hop, but we wanted to make sure you would get LOTS of inspiration! The hop will be open until the April 28th so you will have plenty of time to come back each day with a cuppa to soak it all up! (Just don’t lose the letters you have been collecting!)

We would like to thank our fabulous sponsors, Mo’s Digital Pencil, Make it Crafty, Stamping Bella and Quixotic Paperie for providing the fabulous prizes for this grand carnival hop!

Here is what I came up with using several of both Mo's and Zoe's images:

I made a picture for a kids room. It would fit perfectly for a bedroom that has a circus/carnival theme. I layered several digital images together to create my background scene using MS Word.  The Make It Crafty images that I used are: Candy Cart, Circus Tent, Uni-cycle,  and Fair Carousel.  The images that I used from Mo's Digital Pencil are: Jojo (clown) and The Fat Lady.

Whew! This took forever to color (over a week).  I'm glad to finally get a chance to use this unfinished picture frame (12x14)  that I've had for years that I had bought from either Michael's or AC Moores.  I pulled it out, dusted it off and painted it red. Then I adhered some Martha Stewart border punch die cuts and then embellished with some of Zoe's (MIC) chipboard corner cut outs that I painted with red Smooch paints and glued on some red crystals.

I hope you like my project today. Would love to hear what you think! :) Your next stop on the hop is Shirley.  Thanks for visiting!

Tilda With Heart

Good morning everyone! Is it Wednesday already?  My kids have spring break this week and I've been  running around and chauffering them all over town. They are keeping me busy but that's ok.  I do miss my craft room though ;)

Well today I want to share a birthday card I made using this adorable Tilda With Heart image.

I used my favorite new papers from DCWV called Julianne. What a pretty paper pack! Love the warm colors and pretty prints. Also used some glittery gold ribbon on this card and a gold corner that I got from WOC. I used a Martha Stewart paper punch for the flower border around my image.

Here is a closeup:

The copic colors I used on this card are: YR24, YR23, Y23, Y11, Y000, E37, E35, E33, E31, R24, R22, R20, E11, E00, E000, E57, E55, E53, E51

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

Stamp With Fun - birthday
Woodware USA - diecuts/punches
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - use a Magnolia stamp
A Gem of a Challenge - pearls and/or swirls
Just Magnolia - birthday

Thanks for visiting! Take care!

Today is Tuesday and that means we have another challenge coming to you from the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog.  This week we have a color challenge, the colors are pink and green. Here is a photo of the colors:

Oooo so pretty, right! Here is my card:

I made a stair step card using the following images that I got from Magnolia-licious:

Tilda in Rubber boots
Houses on Street (Alota Rubberstamps)
Tree with Carved Heart

Several different Martha Stewart punches were used on this card. Love my punches!

The copic colors I used today are:

YG67, YG63, G21, G20, RV34, RV32, RV19,  RV10, E00, E000, E11, R24, R20, E39, E35, E33, E31, E57, E55, E53, E51, YR23, Y23, Y21, Y11, Y000, B21, B000. B0000, C1, C00

I had fun making this card. This scene reminds me of the park across the street from my house when I was young. I have so many fond memories of my friends and I or my brother and I playing at this park - especially during the summer when summer camp was held there.  Those were fun days!!

Happy Saturday! I can't believe I haven't posted anything in over a week.  Sometimes life just gets in the way, you know?  But I'm back today with a challenge from Make It Colourful.  Our challenge is to color skies. So here is the card I came up with:

Here are the details:

Images: MIC image - Rainbow Dandelion digi stamp; House Mouse stamp called: Happy Hoppers - Gone With the Wind
Ink: Memento ink for stamping and Copics for coloring

I definately need better lighting for my photos as I had trouble photographing this one. Well, thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!
