I used my favorite Angelica stamp, Angelica's Daydream, to decorate the cupcake. She's so versatile - I can think of a million ways to use this stamp. I glued a heart backdrop to her and included the birthday sentiment and wrote "pull me." When you pull the heart, the gift card is revealed. Cute idea, isn't it? Check out the tutorial linked above - she makes it look so easy. I then attached a toothpick to the back of the heart and stuck it in the cupcake with a bit of glue.

Here is a picture of the copics I used:

I used ribbon for the "whipped cream" and prima flowers for decorating the cupcake. With spellbinder dies, I also cut flowers out of hand made pink paper that has flecks of dried flowers in it by Anna Griffin. I painted a wooden bead and glittered it up with Martha Stewart glitter.
I will be entering this project at the following challenges:
The Corrosive Challenge: sewing (the ribbon was stitched to look like frosting)
Pile It On Challenge: flowers
Saturday Spotlight Challenge: use a household item (I used a toothpick to hold Angelica to the cupcake)
The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge: folds (see the folds in the cupcake base)
Paper Sundaes Challenge: glittery spring (glitter on cherry)
The Pink Elephant - ribbon (frosting is made of ribbon)
Hope you like it. Have a great day!
