Whimsy's Classic Santa

Happy Cyber Monday to you!  Hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend? It sure went by fast but I managed to get a bit of Christmas shopping done and will be surfing the net today for more shopping ;)  I hope there are some great deals out there!!

Well, today I have a fun card to show you using this wonderful  Classic Santa digi image from Whimsy stamps:

This happy fellow was designed by Chrissy Armstrong - I LOVE her designs. I colored him with the following copics: R29, R27, R24, R22, R20, C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00, E11, E00, E000, YG67, YG63, YG21, YG20, and I used white flock on his coat trim and hat.  I love this Christmas paper pad from My Mind's Eye.  All the papers in this pack are wonderful with rich colors. The sweet present and jingle bell charm/button was sent to me by my good friend Crystal and the gorgeous silk ribbon on this card was also a gift sent to me from my other good friend Chris .  Thank you gals, luv ya!!!

I plan to enter this card at the following challenge:

Sweet Sketch Wednesday - sketch
One Stop Craft Challenge - christmas cuties (I think this Santa is extremely cute!)
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - anything goes

Well that's it for now. Don't forget about my blog candy which is ending tomorrow, November 30.  Thanks for stopping by today. Take care,

Crazy 4 Challenges #65

This week at C4C, our challenge is to use Script paper or a script embossing folder. Here is the card I made using this sweet Santa Edwin that I got from Magnolia-licious.

I used this wonderful vintagy Anna Griffin paper again that I just love! I also printed out a December calendar that I found online which I thought would work well for this card. There's my script paper in back of the calendar and I wrote "wish list" on it.  I embellished using the red/white twine and attached some jingle bells to it and a star and heart button.

I used my favorite copic colors to color in this image: R29, R27, R24, R22, R20, C5, C3, C1, C00, E11, E00, E000.

I hope you enjoyed my project today. If you would like to play along with us at Crazy for Challenges, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C65. Thanks for visiting me today! Have a great weekend!

Magnolia-licious Challenge #2 - Inspiration

We have an inspiration challenge for you today over at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Here is our inspiration:

So I was inspired to make this pop-up card:

I've created a living room holiday scene. Similar to my family portait. There's my hubby fighting with the lights, there's me with my Christmas hat on, and my oldest daughter putting up most of the tree, while my little one looks on and supervises (ahem..  bosses us around - LOL)!  I love making these scenes in this pop-up format, here's one I made last year that is similar to this scene.  The card folds down on the left side therefore those images on the fold aren't totally glued so the card can be opened and closed easily. Here are a few more pictures:

The images I used on this card are as follows (all are from Magnolia-licious - some are in stock and some will soon be in stock):

Lightning Edwin
Large Armchair
Magnolia Cat
Tilda with Christmas Cracker
Dreamy Tilda
Tilda Trimming the Tree
Christmas tree

I will enter this card or tabletop decoration at the following challenges:

ATS Magnolia Challenge - christmas
Magnolia-licious Highlights  - "home sweet home" challenge
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - use punches

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Please leave a comment if you would, I'd love to hear what you think of it! Have a great day!

Crazy 4 Challenges #64

Our sponsor this week at C4C is Wink Wink Ink. Here is the card I made for today's challenge using this Holiday Peace digi image that I got from Wink Wink Ink:

The challenge for the week is to add circles to your card. My circle is the Christmas sentiment. Don't you love this Anna Griffin paper that I picked up from Michaels? So vintage - love it!  I colored my image using copics, added stickles to the ornaments and star. Also added a glittered snowflake, pearls, and copper brad.

I hope you can play along with us this week.  If you do decide to play along, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword *C4C64*.  Thanks for visiting me today.  Have a great weekend!

Crazy 4 Challenges #63

At C4C this week, our challenge is to make a Christmas card/project. So I made this gift card/money holder that can be hung on a tree:

Here is a closeup of this cute Christmas puppy digi image that I got from Whimsy:

Oh she is too cute!! This is another Christmas digi image designed by Chrissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps. Please visit the Whimsy store to see more digis and stamps created by Ms. Chrissy Armstrong. I cut out my ornament using my Cricut machine. Added a border punch around the circle. My papers are from My Mind's Eye (love it!). I colored Santa's puppy with copics and added white Scribble paint to the brim and pom pom of the puppy's hat then added some MS white glitter for extra sparkle.

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge - winter card with furry friend
Just Add Ink - christmas
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
A Spoonful of Sugar - holiday card

I hope you like my project today. Please leave a comment if you would, I love reading them. Have a great weekend!

Magnolia-licious Challenge - My Magnolia Boutique Gift Box

Good morning to you! Have you heard?  Magnolia-licious is starting it's own Challenge blog and  I'm so excited to be on their DT and to work alongside an awesome group of talented ladies.  We will have challenges every 2 weeks.  Our first challenge is hosted by our DT Coordinator Candy Mills and she has challenged us to use the colors Pink and Yellow. So for my project today, I used several stamps from Magnolia-licious and a template from My Time Made Easy. Here is what I came up with:

I made a shop/boutique which would make a cute gift box or tabletop decoration.  The roof comes off and inside you can place a gift.  I found this Lauren Meader template at MTME and decided to make this boutique. I had so much fun decorating it with several stamps and embellishments.  Following is a list of the images I used today and all can be found at the Magnolia-licious Store.

Tilda Goes Shopping
Spring Lamp Post
New Bench
Tingla - love her!!!
Traveler Tilda
Cat
Boutique
Brick Wall - for my chimney pattern

The front door was part of an Alota Rubberstamps image that I got from Magnolia-licious but can't seem to find it at the store to link to.  And the back window is a stamp from Flower Soft.  I used my Cricut to cut out the trellis and my small octagonal windows were cut out with a spellbinder die.  Here are a few more pics of my Magnolia Boutique:

Don't you love those pink bricks?  I couldn't resist adding Mom Tilda and her baby Tingla resting on a bench outside the shop. And, of course, the store kitty relaxing under the lightpost in back.

I hope you will play along with our challenge.  You have 2 weeks to create your Pink and Yellow card/project.  The winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to Magnolia-licious! Woo hoo!

I will enter this project at the following challenges:

Lexi's Creations - anything goes
Just Magnolia - anything goes
AiFactory Challenge - garden party (there are lots of garden type elements surrounding this boutique)
Fairytale Challenge Blog - anything goes
A Spoonful of Sugar - "a rellish to embellish"
My Partners in Crafting Crime - marker madness

I hope you liked my project today - it took quite awhile to complete.  Thanks for visiting me today and for any comments you  may leave. I so appreciate it!! Please don't forget to enter my birthday blog candy giveaway! Take care and have a Magnolia-licious day! ;)
