Tilda With a Gift for You

Hi Everyone! Hope you are doing well today? Well, we just got back from vacationing in Lake George, NY.  It was lovely to get away even though it rained for a few days during vacation (but a little rain never hurt anyone). What a beautiful area!  We drove back through Vermont and we stopped at all the cute shops on the way. Now I'm playing catch up with all my emails. I know I'll miss something.

I'm also excited to let you know that there are some big changes going on with the Magnolia-licious DTs. Some really talented designers have been asked to join the Challenge blog team and a few of us from the team have been asked to join the Magnolia-licious Senior Team. I'm really excited to join this team and work with these amazing designers. Thank you, Diana, for the opportunity!

Well, today I am showing you a card I made with this adorable new Tilda from the 2012 Turning Leaves Collection currently available at Magnolia-licious. This is Tilda with a Gift for You. Don't you LOVE her curly hair!

Magnolia-licious Challenge - Put on your ballet shoes

Time for another inspiration challenge over at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog.  Take a look at our inspiration photo chosen by our host this month, Suzan:

Awww aren't they precious?  I miss when my kids were this age and loved wearing tutus.  Well as I looked through my collection of Magnolia stamps, I realized that the only ballet Tilda I have is Pink Tilda Ice/Ballet Princess an oldie but goodie from the 2008 Pink Collection.

I used 2 dies from spellbinders for the leaves and butterfly and the heart tag doohickey die. Papers by K&Co. and flowers by WOC. I used copics to color this image: B24, B21, B000, B0000, YR23, Y23, Y21, Y000, E11, E00, E000, R20.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are all enjoying your summer! xo

Tilda's Mountain Retreat

Hi Everyone! Whew, it's a hot one today so I am spending it indoors with the air condition on and coloring.  :)

Well, today I made an outdoorsy type scenery card.  I've had this cabin stamp for some time, I think it might be from I Brake for Stamps and I thought Fishing Tilda would pair nicely with it.  When I got my Turning Leaves stamp kit and saw that cute Moose, I couldn't wait to add him to my scene. Just love him!

I didn't use any patterned paper today as my background image was so large so I just used brown and green cardstock. I hope it doesn't look too plain?

I enjoyed making this card today and I hope you can let me know what you think. Thanks for dropping by. Stay cool. xo

Magnolia-licious Color Challenge

Good morning everyone!  Today at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog, my lovely friend Suzan is our host and she has chosen the colors red, white, and blue as our colors to work with this week.

Here is the card I created for today:

This is Tilda Un Anchor from the Summer Memories Collection. Don't you love those cute little shoes she has on? Absolutely adorable!    I colored my image with copics and the colors are:  E02, E01, E11, E00, E000, R20, R22, R24, R27, C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, E35, Y23, Y21, Y11, Y000, B26, B24, B21, B000, E55, E53, E51.

I used Webster's Pages papers for this card and cut the boats out of the paper and placed them above the image as embellishment.  Also embellished with some stars cut out with my spellbinder dies.  That little wooden anchor embellie I found at AC Moores.

Well that's it from me today. I hope you'll join us this week for our challenge!  Enjoy your day!

Freedom Lantern w/ Liberty Tilda

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend!?  I have to apologize for not getting around to visit all of your blogs these past few weeks. I can't even begin to tell you how swamped and busy I am with commitments not to mention end of school activities, even busier this year with graduation.  I should be back to normal after this week and promise to make my rounds.

Well, today I wanted to show you this paper lantern I made using the new Freedom set just released by Magnolia.  I was so excited to receive these images and couldn't wait to make something special with them.

I didn't follow any special template when I made this.   Just my scorpal which I used to evenly divide my paper.  I used a spellbinder die for the cutouts in the middle.  The top or roof of my lantern was a bit tricky and I made alot of errors before I finally got the look I wanted and then made a template for future use.  I can't tell you how many pieces of paper I wasted trying to figure this out.... grr....

Here are a couple side views:

I used Americana stickers by K & Co and used spellbinder dies to make the stars.

Stamps used today are:  Liberty Tilda, America the Eagle, Liberty Banner, and the Freedom script that I stamped onto the velum is also by Magnolia but doesn't seem to be in stock at Magnolia-licious at the moment. I also used the wave portion of the new sun Magnolia released called Sunrise in Key West and the fireworks behind Tilda is also a Magnolia stamp but couldn't find a link for it. All the images were colored with copics: C7, C5, C3, C1, C00, B97, B95, B91, B000, E35, E39, E37, E33, E31, E13, E11, E01, E00, E000, R20, YR23, Y23, Y21, Y000, E53, E51, E50.

In the above photo, I switched on the little electric votive candle. Can you see the glow?  I was so happy with how this turned out. I hope you like it too and can let me know what you think. Thanks so much! Have a great Sunday! xo

Little Darling - In The Garden Blog Hop

Hi Everyone! Today at Little Darlings we have a new release blog hop showcasing some cute new Cutie Pie stamps perfect for Spring and Summer cards and projects. There is also a new sentiment set and new background image that work well with these images.  Here is the card I made for today:

I've used several of the new images for this card. I love love making scenes like this, they almost tell a story.  The sentiment I used was computer generated. Unfortunately I didn't have the new sentiments at the time when I made this card. The images I used today are:  Trimming the Topiary, Pretty Posie, Water Boy, and Greenhouse background stamp.

Other stamps that I've used for this stair step card is the Tree with Carved Heart stamp by Magnolia. I also used the clover with flower and grass Doohickey dies also by Magnolia.

Here is the blog hop order:

Angela
Ruby
Alberto
Michelle (June-July GDT)
Janiel
Jane (Special Guest)
Sara
Cabio (Special Guest)
Sheri
Sharon (Special Guest)
Angie

Have fun hopping. Please leave a comment on everyone's post to be in the running for CANDY that Angie's giving away to a lucky commentor.  Have a great day!
