Summer Fun Bash Blog Hop w/ Magnolia-licious

**Please scroll down for my TOMIC post**

Hi there! Today I am participating in the Summer Fun Bash Blog Hop at Magnolia-licious.  If you've come from Barb's amazing blog, then you are in the right place.

So, the design team and challenge blog design team have combined for this blog hop.  Please make sure you stop at each blog and comment and collect all the letters displayed on each team members blog and put the letters together to spell the sentence and send your answer to Suzanne sjdean0574@yahoo.com.  You have until July 31st to email your correct answer to Suzanne. The winner will be chosen randomly. The prize is 5 stamps from Magnolia-licious and a Summer Sand Bucket full of craft goodies. Here's a pic of the basket full of goodies:

There is also a  huge contest/challenge going on so please visit the Magnolia-licious Highlights blog for the full details.  But to sum up there are 3 challenge categories for you to participate in. The themes for your project should be BEACH, BARBECUES/PICNICS, and/or FISHING.  Your entry should feature Magnolia stamps and should be done and entered into the InLinkz by July 31st on the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog.  One random winner will win 2 Magnolia stamps of their choice from Magnolia-licious.

So the card I will feature today is for the Fishing the Day Away category. I was so excited to receive these 2 Tilda and Edwin fishing images. I think they are so CUTE!! I combined them with a few other Magnolia stamps. They are the Pelican and Ocean background both by Magnolia but not in stock at the moment at Magnolia-licious.

I love how this card turned out and that I was able to incorporate so many images together. These papers can be found at Love To Stamp and are by My Mind's Eye - Stella Rose. Aren't they gorgeous!? Love To Stamp carries so many beautiful papers and I picked up so many of them - they are reasonably priced too. My circle sentiment by Whimsy can also be found at Love To Stamp.

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

Paper Play - things with wings
Crafts and Me Challenges - summertime
Paper Shelter Challenge - for the birds
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Magnolia Down Under - create a scene
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - summer colors

Thanks for stopping by! Oh and by the way, My letter is the letter: u. Your next stop on the hop is Patti-Jo's fabulous blog. I can't wait to see what she made!  Have fun hopping and have a great day!

The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge - TOMIC #7

Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your summer? It's been fun having the kids home with me but I find myself with so little time to color while they are home. They are certainly keeping me busy with outings and playdates and some fun little projects. My oldest daughter, Elena, has got it in her head to redecorate her room. So, we've gone from purple peace signs to blue and white Nautical / beach themes (hmm.. I wonder if we'll be redecorating again for the winter).

So we've been scouring the shops for all things beachy and nautical.  Luckily we stopped in at our local Christmas Tree Store and wouldn't you know it, they had all things nautical and my daughter shopped till she dropped! ;)  We found this cute sailboat candle holder that she fell in love with.  When I saw it, the wheels in my head started turning and I remembered that our next theme at TOMIC is NAUTICAL and wouldn't it be fun to have Tilda and Edwin hanging off the side of the boat.  So instead of a card, this is what I made for this weeks TOMIC challenge:

Poor Edwin has gotten into a bit of trouble and there's hero Tilda saving him! LOL!  I cut out my letters with my Cricut machine with the Plaintin Schoolbook cartridge. I LUV MY CRICUT!

So the images I used today are:

Dangling Sea Edwin - Bon Voyage Collection
Tilda on Rope Ladder - Bon Voyage Collection
Sailor Tilda - Summer & Sea Collection

Unfortunately, these stamps don't seem to be available at the moment at Magnolia-licious but if you email Diana, I'm sure she can order them for you soon.

Copic colors used today are: C3, C1, C00, E11, E00, E000, R20, B97, B95, B91, B000, B0000, E35, E33, E31

Well, thanks for dropping by today! I hope you enjoyed my project for today and will visit again soon! Have a great day!

Magnolia-licious Challenge #17

Hello stamping friends! Our color challenge this week is red, white, and blue at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog.

So I created this card for our challenge:

I had this wonderful flag stamp from Our Daily Bread and thought it would go perfectly with Magnolia's Tilda in Star Dress.  I also used Magnolia's Shooting Stars stamp in the background as my fireworks but I don't think you can see it too well as my flag covers most of it. These fun patriotic papers are from BoBunny and I got them at Love To Stamp. I also used a few patriotic stickers that I picked up at my local Michaels Arts and Crafts.

Copic colors used today are: B97, B95, B91, B000, Y000, E11, E00, E000, R27, R24, R22, R20, C1, C00

I will enter this card at the following challenges:

Ellephantastic - July celebrations (Independence Day celebration)
Our Daily Bread Designs - red, white, and blue
Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge - red, white, and blue
If The Shoe Fits, Scrap It - patriotic
7 Kids College  Fund Challenge #25 - red, white, and blue

My next card fits into the 5th category - using MIC logo colors.  I used Siren Lorelie. She is gorgeous! Don't you love the pearl necklace she's holding? ;)

I used my scallop circle grand nestabilities to create my shell card. Also added stickles to give the mermaid some sparkle. I used MIC flower swirls chipboard cutouts as my seaweed. I got my sentiment made by Whimsy from Love To Stamp.

I had fun making these cards. I hope you liked them and can let me know what you think. Please stop by Make It Colourful and join in our month long challenge. I'll be looking for you! Thanks for stopping by!
