TOMIC Challenge - Animal + sketch

I love flamingos! If I could keep one for a pet, I would. But I don't live on the beach (where flamingos live apparently) and probably never will until my kids are out of college.  Last year,  I bought some of those wire flamingos and stuck them outside in my landscape.  Hubby didn't like that much, so he took them down and made me return them.  Now I am banished from decorating the outdoors.  Boo! :p :p :p

So I made a card with a Magnolia flamingo. Woohoo!!  Here is the sketch we had to follow:

Oh don't you love this guy!  So CUTE!! I was so happy to see Magnolia come out with this stamp.  Perfect for our TOMIC challenge which is to make a card with an animal on it and also to follow the above sketch.  I also used Magnolia's beach/sailboat scenery and new "have a sunny day" sentiment. My papers are by Bo Bunny - Barefoot and Bliss Collection.  Everything was colored with Copics, and they are: R24, R22, R20, E55, E53, E51, E50,  C1, C00, YR000, W1, W00, Y15, Y13, Y11, Y000, B26, B24, B21, B000.

Beachcombing Edwin

Goodmorning Everyone! Is it summer yet? I am so ready for the beach and warm weather. I can't wait! And the new Summer Memories collection from Magnolia have really made me anxious for the summer. Have you seen that CUTE Burger Tilda?  Or Flip Flop Tilda - I think she's already sold out at Magnolia-licious? I wish I picked up Pearl Tilda, may have to put in another order. OMGosh I can't wait till my preorder gets here!

So today I made a card with Edwin in Miami.  I've renamed him Beachcombing Edwin - hehe I like that better. I also used Magnolia's Pelican and Lazy Summer Days image.

My papers are by Bo Bunny and so perfect for summer/beach cards.  My image is colored with copics and they are: E11, E02, E01, E00, E000, R22,  R20, E37, E35, E33, E31, E30, YR23, Y23, Y21, Y11, Y000, E59, E50, B95, B91, B000, C3, C1, C00, YR18, YR16, YR12

Smash and Magnolia Blog hop

Good morning everyone!  I'm so excited to be part of the Smash book/Magnolia Blog Hop.  A bunch of us Magnolia lovers are "SMASHING" and have created a book or a few pages of a book and incorporated Magnolia images.  If you've come from Irene's beautiful blog, then you are in the right place.

I went to Michael's and I found a huge 12x12 SMASH scrapbook. I have been wanting to create scrapbooks for my daughters for a long time but unfortunately I am the biggest procrastinator on the planet (much to my husband's frustration - lol), so I thought this would be the perfect excuse to begin a "School Days" scrapbook for my daughter.

Here is the first page. I saved some pages in front of this one so I can put some of my daughter's preschool photos. Unfortunately, I am so disorganized and have to search through some boxes for those photos. 

Here is my second page. I loved using this Wasabi tape that I found. I am accumulating quite the collection of these.

As you can see, I only managed to finish up to 1st Grade but I thought that was a pretty good start.  I really had fun working on these pages but wish I didn't wait so long to get these photos into a scrapbook.  My memory is a bit fuzzy but my girls seem to remember quite a bit so they were a big help.  I need to work on 2nd, 3rd, and 4rth grade then I'll be caught up with that book.  I really need to work on my older daughter's book. She's moving on to high school this fall and I have loads to work on with her book.  Baby steps....

Magnolia-licious Challenge

I love this Cuddly Siblings image so I made a birthday card for my younger brother.  This image is currently in stock at Magnolia-licious.   I colored my image with copics and embellished with flowers and a cupcake applique. SCACD - Loves Me

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.  Mine was fun.  We celebrated my daughter's birthday (I can't believe she's 14 already).  Last week my girls also had Spring break off from school and we kept pretty busy with outtings and sleepovers.  Lots of fun and the weather was great for the most part.  Can't wait for summer! It'll be here before you know it!

Well today, I wanted to show you a card I made with another adorable fairy image that I got from SCACD.  She is called Loves Me.

Welcome to a new challenge over at Little Darlings Challenges. Today our challenge is to use pastels. So I used my beloved Cutie Pie images, this one is called What A Sweetheart. She is indeed! Here is my card:

I used a Basic Grey paper pad called Plumeria. Super pretty papers.  I love this ribbon I got from Angie in my DT packet along with these yummy papers and fun buttons (I lovey buttons). The flowers are from WOC.

I used this gorgeous Tilda with bunny which unfortunately is not in stock at Magnolia-licious at the moment. But if you like her, I'm sure she can be ordered for you. I used some bright papers called Happy Go Lucky by Lime Twist. Love these vibrant colors!  Also used copics to color my image and flowers from WOC and my little tag die is a spellbinder die.

Somebunny Loves You

Hi Everyone! Today at TOMIC we have a new challenge for you.  We have a sketch for you to follow and also there must be a bunny included somewhere on your card.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my card.  I used Tilda and her Bunny from the Butterfly Dreams Collection. I also used Magnolia papers on this card, Doohickey and spellbinder dies, and some flowers.

I tried creating a wildflower background around Tilda with copics.  I love the way Chris Dark creates such beautiful backgrounds for her images and here is my small attempt LOL! But I'm happy with the way it turned out.  Here is a close up:

Hmm.... I think I could have blended her face out a bit better. But I didn't want to over saturate the paper with my markers.
